LEAH RECEIVES TOP AWARD FROM FELLOWSHIP FOR BRITISH HAIRDRESSING

LEAH WALTON BECOMES A FELLOW WITH HONOURS for the FELLOWSHIP FOR BRITISH HAIRDRESSING

Still at the tender age of 25, The Colour Room’s Leah Walton has received one of the highest accolades in the hairdressing industry, winning a FELLOW WITH HONOURS Award for the Fellowship for British Hairdressing.  Leah received her award at a sumptuous luncheon and awards ceremony at The Dorchester Hotel in London on the 2nd December.  To be nominated for a Fellow with Honours award, candidates must have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to Fellowship affairs and British hairdressing, proving they are prepared to go the extra mile for their industry.   Alongside her role in Fellowship shows, Masterclasses and its national education programme, Leah has gained particular recognition for her commitment and work in developing the Fellowship’s ClubStar membership and events in the North of England.  ClubStar is the entry level membership of the Fellowship for young hairdressers aged 16-25, and is aimed to inspire and educate the next generation of British hairdressers.  In 2013, Leah has hosted numerous highly successful events to make ClubStar and the Fellowship more accessible for young hairdressers in the North.  Indeed, Leah started out her own journey with the Fellowship as a ClubStar member when she was just 18 – and just look how she has risen through the ranks since then!
